METRO EAST G Road Test Route Map
π Toronto Metro East, Ontario
Route Overview
Practice the commonly used Metro East G (G2 Exit) Road Test Route. Our G test routes have been updated based on real test visits to Drive Test centers across Ontario. While unexpected traffic or roadwork can occasionally cause minor route changes, mastering these primary paths ensures you know the test area inside out. Passing your full G road test demonstrates your ability to drive with confidence in both city and highway environments. Unlike the G2, this test focuses on advanced decision-making, highway driving, and traffic integration rather than low-speed parking maneuvers. What the Examiner Tests β’ Highway Driving: You will be graded on your ability to safely accelerate to highway speeds (95β105 km/h). On rural highways, 70- 80 km/h on the on-ramp, match the flow of surrounding traffic, change lanes smoothly, and exit safely. β’ Observation: Check your mirrors every 5 to 10 seconds with deliberate head movements, and always shoulder check before initiating a lane change. β’ Speed Control: Maintain a pace right at or near the posted speed limit. Note that driving too slowly without a valid reason or exceeding the speed limit can lead to an automatic failure. β’ Following Distance: Maintain a safe 2- to 3-second buffer between your vehicle and the car ahead. β’ Intersections: Continually scan for hazards, come to a complete stop at all stop signs and red lights, and always yield to pedestrians.
